What moving help costs in Metro Vancouver's South Fraser (2026)

Hourly, with a minimum

Moving is the one category we price hourly, because moves genuinely vary. You choose the crew configuration — two movers with no vehicle (you have the truck), with a cargo van, or three movers with a large truck — and pay the hourly rate in the table below, with a 2-hour minimum.

Estimating your hours

A studio or 1-bedroom within the same city: 2–4 hours. A 2-bedroom apartment: 4–6. A detached house: usually 6+. Elevator buildings add time — reserve the freight elevator (White Rock's Marine Drive condos and Richmond's Brighouse towers both need this) and confirm parking for the vehicle.

How to keep the bill down

Everything boxed and stacked by the door before the crew arrives is the single biggest saver. Disassemble beds ahead of time, and use the no-vehicle option if you can rent a truck yourself — you pay only for muscle.

Common questions

Is there a charge for stairs?

No separate stair fee — but stairs take time, and time is what you're paying for. Mention walk-ups in the booking notes so the crew paces accordingly.

Are my items insured during the move?

Helpers take reasonable care and you rate every job, but for high-value or fragile items we recommend moving them personally — this service is muscle-for-hire, not a full-service moving company with cargo insurance.

Can I book same-day moving help?

Rush bookings broadcast to all available helpers — same-day is often possible on weekdays, tighter on month-end weekends. Book early for the 1st of the month.
